All proceeds from this pattern will go directly to supporting organizations that help fund the actions to fight the necessary changes in the current system, including MN Immigrant Rights Action Committee (MIRAC). I aim to donate as much as I can for as long as I can.
For those who are unable to donate but still want to participate in resistance against injustice, a free version is available on my instagram @bykiarram or @shop_bykiarram!

Crafting has always been an escape from reality for me, but I found that working on my current WIPs felt a little too mindless. Even in my self-care moments, I didn’t want to fully separate myself from what’s going on in our community.
During these tough, frustrating, and saddening times, it is difficult to think that anything can still be “normal.” It can be hard to step away from everything going on to breathe and take care of ourselves, but to be able to consistently do our parts in our communities, we need to be able to stop, recharge, and refuel ourselves for what’s to come.
This simple yet important chart combines self-care and awareness in a way that lets us breathe yet still keep our brains and emotions active.
The government cannot and will not get away with their acts of oppression and violence against all our communities, especially not without a fight on all fronts, including within our art. As artists, we need to put our skills to work and show them that ICE is not welcome on our streets. Not then, not now, not ever.
Thank you for your support, and ICE OUT!
